MSME space holds within itself myriad opportunities. Time and again SIDBI along with various stakeholders of MSME spacehasmade interventions for the growth & development of MSMEecosystem. These interventions are varied and have aided in flourishing of MFI model, rural enterprise promotion, direct assistance and augmenting the money supply for the MSME sector through its refinance programme being the notable contributions.

The underlying spirit of the various structural interventions made by SIDBI has been to address the long-standing gaps in the MSME space. The threemain gaps areinformation asymmetry, lack of entrepreneurial knowledge&low levels of formal credit to the entrepreneurs at the bottom of the pyramid.

With this in view, SIDBI has launched a plethora of initiatives viz

• CriSidEx- a quarterly MSE sentiment index providing outlook on the MSE space.
• MSME Pulse- a MSME health tracker unearthing the patterns underlying opportunities in MSME credit to address the information asymmetry persistent in the sector.
• UdyamAbhilasha for understanding the concept of entrepreneurship.
