Swavalamban Assistance for Financial literacy, Adoption of villages and credit & market Linkages (SAFAL)

Society for Advancement of Village Economy (SAVE) was supported for a pilot intervention for adoption of at least 120 villages in the State of Bihar and Jharkhand, providing Financial Literacy Training to 2,400 Livelihood Entrepreneurs & Micro Entrepreneurs LE/ME) (existing as well as prospective), including migrants, and ensuring their Credit & Market Linkages.

Footprints

  • 121 villages adopted during pilot intervention.
  • 2409 women entrepreneurs provided financial literacy training, including 1453 new entrepreneurs.
  • Credit linkage of 1965 participants and Market linkage of 1467 participants completed.
  • The intervention is being scaled up via adoption of atleast 700 villages in 10 States, providing Financial Literacy Training to 15000 Livelihood entrepreneur & Micro entrepreneur, including migrants, and ensuring their credit & market linkages.
  • Under the scale Up intervention till date 2579 Livelihood entrepreneurs and Micro entrepreneurs have been trained in 128 villages in seven states. Further, 224 beneficiaries have been supported for credit linkage to start their business.
